We require our paint technicians to be qualified and properly trained. At Eli’s, we set high standards before we hire a paint technician. Our paint technician is highly skilled and properly trained. We have provided him with training from the following organizations.

1. Glasurit Certification: As a Glasurit paint warranty center, we must have a certified paint technician by Glasurit. Thus, Glasurit provides us with the proper training courses and human resources to help develop the skills of our paint technician. For example:
   1. They provide courses to ensure that a painter has all the fundamentals of painting in order to provide a paint job that can be warranted by Glasurit. They offer such courses as:
      • Applying primers
      • Refinishing techniques and bumper repair.
   2. They provide training courses on new techniques such as the small-spot paint warranty program. This is a new technique that allows a body shop to paint just particular scratches and not the whole body panel. Glasurit will warranty these jobs if it is only done at a Glasurit warranty center.
   
    
2. A.S.E. also offers testing for a paint technician’s skill level. Although, a Glasurit trained and certified paint technician should pass these tests with ease, Eli’s sends their technicians to be tested by this organization as well. An example of some of these tests are as follows:

3. I-CAR also offers a number of courses that complement a painter’s training. Although Glasurit also teaches these courses, we send our technician to these courses as well.
